Registration of a Subsidiary, Heineken-APB Management Services, Co., Ltd in the People's Republic of China
Pursuant to 704(15)(c) of the Listing Manual, the Company is pleased to announce that its subsidiary, Heineken-APB (China) Pte Ltd (formerly known as Heineken Asia Pacific Breweries (China) Pte Ltd) ("HAPBC"), has registered a wholly owned subsidiary in the People's Republic of China ("PRC"), known as Heineken-APB Management Services, Co., Ltd ("HAPBC MC") with an initial registered capital of US$6.1 million.
HAPBC is owned by the Company's listed subsidiary, Asia Pacific Breweries Limited ("APBL"), and another subsidiary, Asia Pacific Investment Pte Ltd ("APIPL") in equal shares. APIPL is the 50-50 joint venture between the Company and Heineken International B.V.
The business scope of HAPBC MC will include managing and overseeing the operations of HAPBC's investments in the PRC.
The transaction is not expected to have any material effect on the net tangible assets per share or earnings per share of the Company for the current financial year.
None of the directors or substantial shareholders of the Company has any interest, directly or indirectly, in the transaction.
